Vicon EXTRA 500 series, with 3.2-4.0m working width, is easy to operate and has a low power requirement, which reduces fuel consumption by allowing the mower to be used with smaller tractors. Due to the independent active suspension, the EXTRA 500 series has a remarkable ability to adapt to ground contours. This technology improves grass flow and is gentler on the crop. It also helps protects the cutterbar from any unforeseen obstacles. EXTRA 500 has a sideward adaption range of 17° in total. This generates many benefits while working on hillsides or controlling the unit on headlands.

- When encountering an obstacle, the BreakAway will swing the machine backwards and over the obstacle, returning it to the original working position once the obstacle has been passed
- The gearbox is fixed to the mainframe in order to ensure less movement during operation
- Provides unlimited rotational movement between the machine and the tractor.
