MGC Fresh Produce! Harston, Northern Victoria

Joe and Cesare Marcuri with help from their father Mick, run MGC Produce located in Harston, Northern Victoria, Australia. The main business is focused on growing tomatoes, with over 250,000 x 10kg trays grown, packed and despatched annually. MGC are also enthusiastic owners of two Vicon RV5116  balers.

The fresh produce operation is supplemented by growing cereal crops on 600 acres of their own land, with a further 800 acres also cropped on a contract basis. Oats and Wheat are the main crops, which are grown for hay and then round baled, all destined for onward sale.

MGC’s first Vicon baler was purchased new from their local dealer Goulburn Valley Ag, based in nearby Kialla, who have a great reputation for service and support. The young and committed team at Goulburn Valley led by branch manager Christian Barnett are all from local farming backgrounds, with the main focus that the AG business is not a nine to five job.

The MGC Produce fleet lined up ready to go.

MGC Were so impressed with the bale quality from their new RV5116 that they also sourced a second used machine. Cesare commented that with each baler having an output of around 60 bales an hour, the two balers are easily able to cope with the annual workload of 6-7000 bales in a timely manner.
